The Library is named as “BEREA” taking into significance the church at the place named “Berea” in the New Testament (Acts 17:11). This church readily searched the scriptures before accepting the words of Apostle Paul. A Christian needs to examine every teaching and follow it with truth and earnestness.

The BEREA is the vision of our Founder Rev. Raju Mathew for a Christian research Centre. Indian society has been heavily influenced by many great Christian thinkers both from India and other countries. Basis for all thinkers is the renaissance of their thinking process, and the renaissance is brought about by the books and that opens a new dimension. BEREA was established by the efforts of Ms Patty Pafford, who toiled day and night to classify the Library into the Dewey Decimal System.
